Training Director Gerard O’Dea was caught on camera recently talking about safer approaches to positioning and proximity when dealing with disruptive young children in the classroom.  Experts have always recommended “getting down to their level” but it can be really helpful for staff to know about the risks of lowering themselves for communication with young children and how to keep themselves safe when they do so.
