We are delighted to announce that the Vistelar Conflict Management Train-the-Trainer programme is coming to the UK this December.
This five-day course certifies individuals as instructors for Vistelar’s Conflict Management for Contact Professionals programme — authorising them to teach the full curriculum within their own organisation.
What the Course Covers
The training focuses on three critical skill domains:
- Non-escalation — conflict prevention before it starts
- De-escalation — calming situations that are already tense
- Crisis intervention — managing emotionally charged moments safely
Note: this course does not cover physical alternative tactics (control, stabilisation, or weapons). The emphasis is squarely on how to identify, manage, and resolve conflict at the point of impact — that short window where a disagreement can escalate into emotional or physical violence.
The Vistelar Approach: Six Cs and Showtime
All Vistelar courses are taught through the lens of the Six Cs — the full spectrum of human conflict: Context, Contact, Conflict, Crisis, Combat, and Closure. This framework makes the training easy to integrate into your organisation’s existing policies, procedures, and culture.
And in today’s world, there’s another layer: looking professional on camera, no matter how the situation ends up. Every contact professional needs to know that their actions — verbal, non-verbal, and physical — will hold up when reviewed on video, and that their incident report matches the visual record.
This isn’t “fire talk” — it’s “fire drill.” Students develop the knowledge, skill, and ability to manage real conflict in the real world.
The training uses a “fire drill vs. fire talk” approach. Class time emphasises student interaction, scenario-based skill practice with proprietary video recording and review technology, analysis of real-life events captured on video, and memorable “peace stories” that make the learning stick.

The programme is designed for contact professionals across 16 market segments — law enforcement, corrections, healthcare (patient care and security), education, security and loss prevention, public transit, EMS and fire, utilities, customer service, and the military. It is taught by professional trainers with extensive backgrounds in these fields.
